The border town of Belleek is a delightful village of less than 1,000 inhabitants, right on the border with the Republic of Ireland. So it's definitely the most westerly village in the UK! Built on the shores of Lough Erne, the village can be reached via a bridge over the River Erne, before it flows into the Atlantic Ocean at Ballyshannon. The main local feature is pottery, a craft that produces world-famous creations. There's also a renowned traditional music festival in June. Take note if you're passing through then.
