In 1905, John Whitley, owner of Hardelot Castle, fell under the spell of the site. He wanted to make Hardelot a world-class sports center. It was a resounding success, and since then the resort has offered a wide choice of dedicated infrastructures. No less than two renowned golf courses, an equestrian center and beautiful hiking trails. On the seaside, the 10 km long beach is well worth a visit, whether for a stroll along the seawall or for water sports activities. The lively resort regularly organizes concerts and festivals, such as Festi'môme on All Saints' Day, when the town is transformed into a kingdom for children.
