Continuing along this coastal road towards Leisi (fairly close to the port of Triigi), we reach Angla. Here, in the middle of the countryside, stands the only mountain in Saaremaa where the village windmills were built. At one time, every village had a windmill, but gradually they all disappeared. In 1925, for example, there were thirteen farms in Angla and nine windmills. Today, five have been preserved. On the spot, you can admire these old wooden windmills that grace the landscape. A worthwhile detour that doesn't take long to complete.
