20 km from Bolzano, the mythical Val Sarentino, one of the most characteristic valleys of Tyrol. Narrow and isolated, it keeps its traditions alive in 7 hamlets and more than 500 old farmhouses, in the middle of green meadows, coniferous woods and surrounded by mountain peaks. The road that crosses the gorge of the Talvera river was laid out only 50 years ago. The handicraft of wood, the tanning of leather, the breeding of Avelignesi or Haflinger horses, all activities that have contributed to consolidate the reputation of the valley.
