With its characteristic stone houses and cobbled streets, Sutrio is the most charming village in the Valcalda Valley. It is famous for its ancient woodworking workshops. On the first weekend of September, the "Magic of Wood" event takes place here, with exhibitions of local handicrafts and the possibility of admiring and acquiring wooden furniture, kitchen utensils and decorative objects. From Sutrio it is easy to reach Mount Zoncolan, the starting point for many excursions in the summer. In winter, its 22 km of slopes are among the most famous and best equipped in Friuli.
