About 20 km south-east of Spili and west of Agia Galini, this superb beach is accessible by boat or car through small winding but very passable roads. The bay is separated in two by Cape Melissa: on one side, a small protected beach nestling in the hollow of the bay and on the other, a long stretch of sand often battered by the winds. If the few rooms available on the spot are mainly intended for foreign tourists, Cretans appreciate to come to Agios Pavlos for a day, bathing and lunch. Beautiful.
