It is the capital of the island and it is here that the most important industrial port of the island and the airport are located. It is also here that the commercial zones and the large surfaces for shopping of any kind are concentrated. Very urbanized, with roads often congested during rush hours, Kahului nevertheless reserves some pleasant surprises for those who will not flee from it at first sight. Finally, Kahului is the main bus interchange point of the island, so you will have to stop there whether you are going to Lahaina in the west, Haleakala in the south or to Hana in the east. The airport is only ten minutes away from the bus station.
