Charming little village of barely 100 inhabitants. In the hollow of a valley and bordered by pebble beaches, it is dominated by the imposing rock Kahakuloa Head. A nice walk in the alleys but few visits are possible, except for the two churches and an art gallery. Several shops sell banana bread and shave ice, delicious pick-me-ups for the greedy driver. Some say that Kahakuloa is the second road to Hana, because of the beautiful landscapes it offers, but more secret and less frequented, and fortunately because the road is really not wide and many curves appear at the last moment, be careful.
