It is difficult to know where these three residential areas, north of Kaanapali, called Honokowai, Kahana and Napili, begin and end. It is a successive concentration of hotels and apartments built along the sea for tourists. It can be interesting to stay there as the accommodation is cheaper than the hotels in Kaanapali and all are within walking distance of a beautiful beach, one of the most beautiful in Hawaii. For those on a budget who live in Lahaina without a car, the town is served almost every two hours by the bus to Kapalua. It takes just under an hour to get there.
