Woods Hole is a tiny town on the southern tip of Cape Cod. It is renowned for its marine research centers, including the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. The town has a peaceful, seaside atmosphere. The rhythm of life seems to be set by the waves. But the main reason for stopping in Woods Hole is to catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. While here, we'll take the opportunity to admire Nobska Point Lighthouse, the town's beautiful lighthouse, built in 1829. If the weather's fine, a trip to Stony Beach, the town's small beach, may also be in order.
