Block Island is an island of unspoiled nature. It's the perfect place to spend a day riding the winding roads by bike. You don't need a car to explore the island. The first settlers set foot on the island in 1661. Since then, the site lives through the seasons, rocked by the waves. If there are no major sites to visit, you should enjoy the place as a peaceful retreat and travel the 17 km of the island on marked trails or along the water. Block Island is accessible by ferry from the mainland. Point Judith, a small village on the coast of Narragansett Bay, is often the starting point for boat trips to the island
