Beautiful beach with free access, close to points of interest on Block Island, with lifeguards.
Block Island has 15 beautiful beaches, which spread their fine sand over nearly 17 miles all around the island. The most famous of these, thanks in part to its ideal location close to points of interest, is Crescent Beach. It stretches over 2.5 miles of sand and starts at the old harbour, where the ferry drops off passengers. It is the only beach, together with Ballard's Beach, where you will see lifeguards (between 10am and 5pm). All Block Island beaches are free of charge. Parking is also free.
