Schwyz, the canton's capital, is surrounded by the Mythen and Rotenfluh mountains, which rise to almost 1,900 m above sea level. The town itself is rich in vertical drops, ideal for warming up your thighs before setting off to conquer the summits. For skiers and snowboarders, the canton is the starting point for three ski areas: Mythen, Stoos and Sattel-Hochstuckli. Walkers will also find plenty to do here, thanks to the many attractive hiking trails. On the cultural front, the town is home to a museum: the Forum of Swiss History, with dozens of collections of various objects (goldsmiths, vehicles, numismatics, etc.).
