Maser is a small, peaceful town surrounded by fields and vineyards in the heart of the province of Treviso. It is famous for Villa Barbaro, the private palace of the brothers of the same name, built by the famous architect Palladio in the second half of the 16th century. The Palladian villa, a Unesco World Heritage Site, is sublimated by its interior decoration of frescoes by Veronese. Along the access road to the villa, notice the Tempietto, one of Palladio's last achievements (1580). This small building with a central plan, enriched with statues and stucco decorations, is a replica in miniature of the Roman Pantheon.
