Not far from the road that in Roman times linked Ravenna to Altino (the ancient Via Popilia), Rosolina is set in the landscape of ponds, lagoons and fishing grounds typical of the Po Delta. Of great environmental interest: the road linking Portesine, a hamlet to the north of Rosolina, to Cason Moceniga to the south of the town. Several hiking and biking trails start from here, and birdwatchers will be delighted. Not far from this small town are the seaside resorts of Rosolina Mare and Isola di Albarella, a 9 km-long sandy coastline dotted with maritime pines and bathing spots.
