Between the Gran Sasso massif and the Adriatic coast, Atri is a nice village, which benefits from a privileged geographical situation, about fifteen kilometers from the seaside resort of Pineto. Perched on a hill of about 450 m, it can be reached by a winding climb through arid landscapes. The village is famous for its licorice production, which you can find in one of the historical stores in the center. We recommend staying in Atri, rather than in the seaside resorts of Pineto or Roseto degli Abruzzi, in order to enjoy the more authentic Abruzzo hinterland.
