You can reach it on foot through the village of Montepertuso, located on the heights of Positano, 3 km away. The village is clinging to the cliff of Mount Sant'Angelo. From here you can admire the gulf, the Li Galli islands and, in the distance, Capri. At the top of Positano, near the Bar Internazionale and the post office, the bus for Nocella stops. Get on and go to this charming little village overlooking Sorrento and its bay. The narrow streets, the church, the cemetery and the numerous statues dedicated to the Virgin Mary will delight you. In this village of sixty souls, apart from a small grocery store, there is nothing for sale. When you arrive on the terrace in front of the church, you will find a small staircase on your right. On the wall, a ceramic sign reminds you that 1,700 steps separate you from Positano. Take the staircase that winds along the mountain. The walk is superb. In a luxuriant vegetation of olive trees, fig trees, cactus, you will dominate all the bay and will appreciate to hear the song of the crickets, far from the crowd of the alleys of Positano. At the end of the steps, turn right, the road leads to Positano. From now on, you will share it with cars, buses and scooters. Fortunately, the view, as magnificent as ever, will make you forget this little inconvenience. Count on 1h30 of sportive walking. Do not bring children or people with walking difficulties as the stairs make the walk quite difficult.
