This pretty, flower-filled village at the confluence of the Orne and Noireau rivers gives an impression of peace and serenity. But make no mistake: in summer, tourists and holidaymakers are quick to liven things up, and with good reason. In Pont-d'Ouilly, between kayaking, pedal boating, swimming, hiking and paragliding, there's nowhere to spend your energy! And to recharge your batteries, the town is dotted with excellent restaurants and guinguettes. As for the famous bridge that gives it its name, it was rebuilt in 1948, the war having taken its toll on its venerable predecessor, built in the 12th century when Pont-d'Ouilly was a stopover on the way to Mont Saint-Michel.
