Wli is a must-see destination for those with a little time on their hands in Ghana. These are the famous waterfalls located near the Togolese border, which everyone in the country has heard of! They are generally considered to be the most beautiful waterfalls in Ghana. From Hohoe, you'll need to head for Likpe, then turn south. In all, from Hohoe, it's a 25 km, 40 minute drive. Note that the waterfalls are not directly accessible by car: you'll have to do a bit of climbing to earn them! Because of the condition of the roads and the trail leading to the falls, we advise against undertaking this trip alone. After paying the entrance fee, you will be accompanied by a guide to the falls.Wli is also a small village, which makes it all the more interesting in that it's easy to make contact with the locals, who are used to seeing large numbers of tourists passing through and who, as a result, won't necessarily jump down your throat.
