With a surface area of 64 km², Lake Togo is an ideal place to relax and enjoy a number of water sports, such as sailing and water skiing. You can also enjoy a pleasant pirogue ride for around 2,000 FCFA. A haven for resident and migratory birds, the area is a delight for birdwatchers. Herons, egrets, widgeon dendrocygnes, yellow-billed rails and numerous waders can all be seen here. Also renowned for its fish-filled waters, the lake attracts many fishermen from the surrounding villages, who come to catch carp, sole and turbot with their nets.
