Set on a sandy spit bordered by the ocean, the town is located on a splendid site that will appeal to lovers of the sea and water sports. This Ewe fishing village lies between the Gulf of Guinea and the Keta lagoon. The small coastal town, birthplace of former president Rawlings, is unfortunately threatened, like many others along the Gulf of Guinea, by coastal erosion due to the construction of the Akosombo dam. The coastline from the estuary of Lake Volta to the border with Togo stretches for over 100 km and offers a route that has yet to be explored by travellers to Ghana. And Keta is right in the middle of it. With its Danish castle.
