Ho, with its 300,000 inhabitants, is located 80 km from Akosombo and 184 km northeast of Accra. It makes an interesting stopover on the way to Kpalimé (Togo). You'll have a lovely view of the town and surrounding area from the TV station's relay station. Two things to see are the market in the town center and the Volta Regional Museum located behind the hospital in the western part of town. Many visitors consider the Ho region to be one of the most interesting in Ghana, and the surrounding villages are well worth a visit. Ho is a good base for excursions throughout the region.
