Fishing enthusiasts or those who simply enjoy canoeing will probably enjoy Kpong, south of Atimpoku. The villagers have canoes and will lend them to you for a small fee. Kpong is located on the road between Accra and Akosombo, about 20 km from the latter. You will also enjoy strolling between the market stalls and getting to know the locals as you meet them. The inhabitants of Kpong and all the surrounding area are generally rather welcoming!
