Charming village, typical of the Pays d'Auge and county town. Its Cru de Cambremer AOC cider is renowned. A major stopover on the Route du Cidre, it hosts the Festival des AOC-AOP en Normandie. Legend has it that the commune inspired Marcel Proust, who named his heroes Cambremer in his novel À la recherche du temps perdu.
