Os Tibetanos has established itself as an essential reference in Lisbon. In addition to balanced and tasty dishes (tofu and seitan), you will also order fresh salads, doces (inspired desserts), fresh fruit juices and teas.

Located at the beginning of the shopping street near the pier, this restaurant offers dishes based on fish and/or seafood. You can easily spot it with its facade and colourful sign. Seafood lovers will be delighted because everything is fresh and of high quality. It has a large room for group dining but also a terrace to enjoy the sunny weather. Among the dishes, we recommend lulas gralhadas or the traditional sea bream. Vinho da casa is a sure thing.

Located on the edge of the Parque de Monsanto, not far from Belém, this is, as its name suggests ("fish market"), a fish and seafood restaurant. The room is rustic and spacious, with a warm, local atmosphere. In the center is a large aquarium and a fish stall - just like at the market. Next to the stall is a large barbecue where the fish is grilled. This is the originality of the house! The restaurant also offers a good selection of wines and various homemade sweets, such as pastel de nata.

This vegetarian restaurant is a colourful haven of peace between three hospitals. The establishment has a kind of small glass carousel tent very pleasant, and a space on two floors very close to a waterfall. You will taste a healthy cuisine, in the form of various salads, wok noodles, tapas of oriental inspiration... It was the Dalai Lama himself who gave the benevolent house its letters of nobility by honouring it with his presence.

A little hidden in the heart of La Mouraria, this restaurant is one of the best vegetarian and vegan addresses in Lisbon and one of the pioneers! Moreover, as a victim of its success, it is advisable to book because the room is not very large and the establishment is often full (even its small terrace). Every day, a different unique dish is served and an assortment of tapas and soup. As a drink, you can taste homemade beer. Recently, they have also been organizing vegan cooking workshops and other activities.

Located on the "Docas" (the docks of the Alcantara marina) in one of the former hangars that have been converted into restaurants or bars, 5 Oceanos faces the marina, overlooking the Tagus and the 25 Avril deck, and boasts a large terrace. As soon as you enter, the large seafood aquariums give you a clear idea of the restaurant's speciality. If it's meat you're after, you'll also find what you're looking for. Quiet during the day, this area comes alive in the evening, especially at weekends, when you'll get a taste of the Lisbon atmosphere.

In a street that goes up to the Praça do Carmo, this is one of the vegetarian options in the city that offers an interesting and varied buffet. In a pretty room, decorated with black and red tables, you can taste lasagna, pizzas, tomato soup, and very good cheesecakes! You can taste everything you want, it's included in the price because it's a buffet. A good quality-price ratio. Plan to arrive at the beginning of the service if you want to have a choice because the place is always full and the dishes go quickly.

Pitéu is a word that means food in Portuguese. The name of the restaurant announces the color! There's food here, and it's good too. The concept is more of a tapas style to share, but there are also individual dishes. You can taste typical dishes of revisited and quality: different starters, meat dishes (beef steaks on the stone, duck confit...) or fish (octopus, sardines, tuna steak)... Cherry on the cake, the decor is very elegant and intimate. The French menu is not always well translated.

In a street, a little higher than the praça de Alegria, this vegetarian restaurant has a large room with a covered terrace overlooking a flowery and relaxing garden. The kitchen gives pride of place to well-being, and in addition, you can even enjoy a little moment of relaxation, thanks to the formulas, meals and massage. For lunch only, a buffet does not disappoint. We advise you to taste the four-cheese lasagne or the cannelloni, a real treat. A friendly place with a smiling welcome.

One room on the ground floor, another in the basement for organic and well-balanced meals, sometimes a little waiting. Soups, salads, vegetable gratins, cereal steaks and Southern know-how. What could be more normal? Since women of African origin are in charge of the composition. Very economical. The establishment also offers a grocery store, a specialized bookstore as well as meetings and activities (macrobiotic courses). Also happy hours and promotions in the early evening. Recommended!

Near the Alcântara train station, this popular brasserie specializing in seafood sets the tone right from the window, with its full aquarium. In a large, bustling room with overpowering lighting, you can opt for excellent shellfish, masinha de garoupa (scorpion fish) com gambas, arroz de tamboril (monkfish rice) or good grilled fish, all in a vibrant atmosphere punctuated by the hammering of customers tapping their crabs. Unfortunately, the restaurant has lost some of its quality of service.
