The tiny port of Skala Kamirou is home to fishing boats and local caiques, which run daily services to the island of Halki, and three times a week to the island of Tilos (in season). Just outside the port, the small beach of Κοpria offers a pleasant stopover before taking the road to Kritinia Castle, established by the Knights of the Order of St. John in 1472. Perched on a rocky promontory, it offers magnificent sea views, especially at sunset. Beyond, the superb road forks inland and climbs for 4 km to the village of Kritinia proper.
