Travel Guide Murvica

In the south of the island, 6 km west of Bol, the peaceful village is dominated by a hill where natural caves have been carved out of the karst rock. The most famous one, near the houses, is called Zmajeva Špiljala. The famous Dragon's Cave is somewhat difficult to access and can be visited. It is about 20 meters deep and is divided into four parts. The cave is divided into four sections, and there are carved motifs, such as a crocodile with forked legs. In the past, these caves were used as a refuge for hermits. At the last census, the small village of Murvica had a little more than 700 inhabitants.
