In the hinterland of Biograd, Pakoštane, Drage and down to the sea level of Murter, Croatia's largest natural lake extends over 3,000 hectares (14 km long and 2 km wide). It is no more than 5 m deep. Due to its proximity to the coast, seawater enters the lake during high tides. To get as close as possible to the lake, you can stay in Pakoštane or the village of Vrana.
