Travel Guide Al-Barid

This site, located 7 km north of the ancient city, is often called Small Petra. If she is far from competing with her large neighbour, she is still worth half a day. You can go to the Sid Al-Barid from the lower town of Petra, or from the Visitors Center (follow a path behind the Crown Plaza Guesthouse, which winds along the Wadi al-Ulayqua, which is dry). The colors of the rocks are among the most wonderful in the region. You will need a guide. By car, take the road north of the Hotel Moëvenpick and follow the signs Al-Qubba. On the first line, turn left and continue for 1 km. By taxi, count 10 Djs, waiting time included, and possibly a stop at El-Wue castle.
