Located about 3 km south of the kibbutz of Sde Sde, Midreshet Ben Gurion, or Ben Gurion campus, is a university site and a research centre specializing in studying historical and political aspects of David Ben Gurion's life and time. It depends on Ben Gurion University of Be'er Sheva. It welcomes, inter alia: The Blaustein Institute for Desert Research, the Ben Gurion Archive and the Ben Gurion Heritage Foundation. There is also a large area reserved for houses (about 250 families and many students), with several accommodation open to visitors. At the centre of the site, there is a place where a small supermarket, a post office, a tourist agency, a bicycle rental shop, a medical office, several shops and restaurants are located.At the site, and in front of the Tzin Canyon and one of the two entrances of Ein Avdat National Park, the Ben Gurion Tomb National Park, where David Ben Gurion and his wife Paula are based.The information centre in front of access to the campus and the two national parks will provide you with many information about possible activities and accommodations at the university and in the region.
