The village of Rum is dominated by the Um Ishrin Jebel (1,753 m), one of the highest mountains in the country. It is built near a spring that provides the community with water. This village of 700 souls has a school, a few grocery stores and a post office. There are no banks or ATMs. You can stop here to get water and possibly bring a picnic. The village also has a dispensary for emergency care. Behind the village are the ruins of a Nabatean temple
