Disah is a small Bedouin village on the edge of the protected area of Wadi Rum. It is surrounded by landscapes just as lunar as the central part of Rum. It is even where scenes from Star Wars 9: The Skywalker Ascension were filmed. As a result, Disah is experiencing an exponential development in tourism, with the installation of many permanent camps, more or less luxurious, between the hills. This is also where the most important camps for tour operators' groups are located. Be sure to find out where the camp is located and how many tents there are, if you don't want to find yourself drowned in the middle of a swarm of tourists traveling by bus. Staying at Disah can be a way to avoid paying the entrance fee to the reserve and still have an experience of Wadi Rum. But you can also pay the entrance fee upon arrival at the Visitor Center and enjoy Rum on your own.
