This island, located in the middle of the Thale Sap Songkhla lagoon, about fifteen kilometers from the city center, is connected to the mainland by two modern bridges. Many fishing facilities occupy its surroundings. Modest seafood restaurants are located on pontoons. A small ancient wooden temple is located on the island. The local handicraft is specialized in cotton weaving. The island also has a museum that exhibits handicraft tools, musical instruments, clothes, pottery and religious objects typical of the southern region, including a beautiful collection of Malay daggers(kris) and ancient weapons.
