Separated from Karon by the rocky outcrop of Cape Sai - Laem Sai - Kata beach is divided into two distinct parts: Kata Yai, the largest, and Kata Noi, further south. These beautiful beaches have seen the development of new tourist facilities: high-end resorts, restaurants, bars, boutiques and massage salons. There are fewer and fewer modest hotels; they have been bought out, transformed and fitted out, and prices have risen significantly. For lunch, a good option is to take advantage of the buffets offered by the hotels. In the evening, street stalls offer inexpensive Thai cuisine.
