Noppharat Thara is a neighboring beach to the west of Ao Nang. More tranquil, it stretches for almost three kilometers. It's a local favorite for weekend picnics and strolls along the cobblestone pathway that runs along the coast, but is not suitable for swimming. Along the seafront you'll find several resorts, restaurants and a few bars where you can watch the sunset. Klong Muang beach, to the west, is still untouched by mass tourism. A few guesthouses and resorts can be found nearby. To find it, follow the signs to the Sofitel.
