The beaches are quite narrow and rather silted: nothing that really makes you want to swim there! On the other hand, the site is very quiet, and Thai people come to walk there at the end of the day and have dinner there. There is also a village of the Chao Leh community, the sea gypsies who once lived nomadically on the Andaman Sea. Hotels are few and far between. Laem Kha is the cape between Chalong Bay, further north, and Rawai Beach.
