This beautiful village perched at an altitude of 1,100 m, where electricity was only installed in 1978, smells of the countryside. Chicken and pig farms stand side by side with B&Bs in a cheerful rural atmosphere, humorously and truthfully pointed out as soon as you enter the village by a sign: "Caution, strong odors, the farmers apologize!" Yet it's a pleasure to return to this tiny corner of the world, nestling at the foot of a rampart dominated by the Roche-Écrite. At the heart of the village, the church (unfortunately regularly devastated by cyclones) proudly displays its status as a historical monument.
