Population approx. 4,200. 46 km from Kamnik and 30 km from Celje. The town is in fact just a village, the administrative and economic center of the valley. First mentioned in 1146, Mozirje is also a place to stay, a stopover if you're skiing nearby at the Golte winter sports resort. For this, you need to go to the hamlet of Žekovec, 3 km away, where the cable car starts. The highest point of the Golte massif, Mount Beskovec, is 1,588 m above sea level. The town has a good hotel infrastructure, enabling you to discover the Upper Savinja Valley in the best possible conditions.
