This small village of just over 1,500 inhabitants is, like Matalascañas, part of the municipality of Almonte. Like Matalascañas, it lies on the edge of the Doñana National Park. It belongs to the comarca del Condado, renowned for its production of wines with the Condado de Huelva Denomination of Origin. But it's most famous for its pilgrimage, which attracts almost a million people every year at Whitsuntide, featuring over a hundred brotherhoods and culminating on Saturday. Apart from the pilgrimage, there's not much to see here, apart from the famous hermitage dating from the mid-14th century.
