From Pointe de Flacq, the road leaves the coast for a while, goes inland a bit, crosses sugarcane fields, then reaches Poste de Flacq, a peaceful village and the last one before miles of wilderness. From Pointe Lafayette to Roches Noires, the coastline is hardly built. Only the superb campsites of private individuals are lined up in front of adorable creeks bordered by dark rocks. Here, goats and cows graze along the roadside and the hamlets sing under the constant breath of the trade winds. There are few activities, one comes for the quietude and the exclusive happiness of a piece of island still intact
