Identifiable by its immense cliffs and its asymmetrical shape, the Coin de Mire, among the islets located due north, is the closest to the coast and the most conspicuous. As a relief on the turquoise horizon, it creates a particularly photogenic natural picture on a sunny day. Unlike nearby Plate Island and Gabriel Islet, it is not possible to land here, as its protected landforms provide a habitat for many birds, including flocks of tailed straws. Its steep shores offer no access anyway. Only its rich and limpid seabed can be explored and attracts many divers
