Open to the public during the day, Gabriel islet is one of the favourite sea and leisure destinations for holidaymakers in the North, but not only. We sometimes come from the other regions of Mauritius to discover this beautiful piece of land. The site is untouched and has only been the subject of minimal improvements (straw huts, deckchairs, toilets), with no real impact on the environment. The most idyllic, pristine white beach is just across from Plate Island, just a few fathoms away. Islet Gabriel also conceals wild coves, creeks surrounded by dark volcanic rock, scenic escapes on the open sea ... These marine panoramas can be discovered along the marked coastal path (follow the red line), punctuated by benches for contemplation. Provide shoes as the sand can be hot.
