In the extension of the Pointe d'Esny, at the southern end of the coastal road, the public beach overlooking the cove of Blue Bay, so named for the intense hue of its lagoon which tends to midnight blue. Underwater, the corals of the bay, to be discovered with a mask and snorkel or during a glass-bottom boat ride, are among the most beautiful in Mauritius. Scuba diving is also famous and some spots behind the coral reef are really worth a few strokes of the fins. The exposure to the wind is also favorable for windsurfing and kitesurfing, especially in winter. The area is rather quiet and idyllic.
