Fonimagoodhoo is a medium sized island by Maldivian standards, 600 meters x 200 meters. It is surrounded by several small deserted islands and lonely sandbanks that can be reached alone, by windsurf or catamaran. It is the only island in the Baa Atoll that is reasonably priced and has beautiful, wide beaches where you can lie down in peace. A real emerald jewel case, its vegetation of mango trees, takamakas and coconut palms is dense as well as the number of bungalows. Small prices and small intimacy go hand in hand on this island-hotel which hosts the Reethi Beach Resort. The beautiful beach that runs all around the island is protected by a coral reef that stretches to the northeast. The lagoon is a good place to learn about the aquatic fauna of the Maldives. If you are lucky, you will be able to observe different species of rays such as the black spotted ray, the leopard ray and its large sting or the amazing large guitar ray. The latter is critically endangered and the chances of encountering it are slim. Fonimagoodhoo is surrounded by 4 deserted islets, where the hotel can organize barbecues, cocktails or dinners under the stars on request! And of course you have access to the Hanifaru Bay which is a Unesco protected biosphere. The reef is home to a large number of colourful fish such as the inevitable parrotfish, triggerfish, clownfish, butterflyfish and napoleon fish. Reethi is a paradise for snorkelers and divers.
