This tiny heart-shaped islet - very romantic - is located on the west side of the North Male Atoll. It has only a few rooms because of the limited space, so it's not very crowded either. But the island is actually very built up and suffers from erosion. There is no beach worthy of the name and the only piece of sand that remains is framed by dikes. The real attraction lies in the stilted villas built directly on the shoreline and there is no need to walk up an interminable pontoon. The Taj Group has taken over this confetti. You will come across many wealthy Indian couples who have come to spend a few days on their honeymoon.
