It is a large island, 1.8 km long and 200 m wide, making it one of the largest private islands in the Maldives. During excavations conducted in 1988 by archaeologist Thor Heyerdahl, the ruins of a Buddhist monastery were discovered. Dressed in a rich and colourful flora, wrapped in a powdery sandy setting, the island is an absolute feast for the eyes. Its size makes it possible to discover a corner of it each day during a walk while feeling alone in the world. At the end of the island, a tongue of sand invites you to settle down, and you could stay there for hours without realizing it, so much it is happiness.
