Vilamendhoo, an island of 900 m x 250 m is located between two passes in the South Ari Atoll. Exploited since 1994, it has retained its character thanks to a naturally varied vegetation, and the sandy spit which extends it on one of its ends completes its beauty. Large areas are left to nature, which is becoming rare in the Maldives. Those who wish to see what an authentic Maldivian island looks like will be served among coconut palms, banyan trees, mangroves, banana trees and mangroves galore. A narrow lagoon surrounds the island. It is occupied by the Vilamendhoo Resort and Spa which belongs to the Maldivian group Crown & Champa. The resort has a commercial policy of "all inclusive" packages.
