Mirihi takes its name from a yellow flowering plant that grows on its beaches, and which is said to have the particularity of hunting nannugathi snakes. It is a very small island that stretches in length (300 meters x 50 meters), set on a reef at the end of a sumptuous lagoon. The reef forms a ring of 6 kilometers regularly visited by reef sharks, turtles and rays, as well as a multitude of multicolored fish. The beach is superb and wide at the western end of the island, but narrow elsewhere. Mihiri Island Resort offers warm hospitality and invites you to go barefoot in the powdery sand.
