Horubadhoo is a medium-sized island, stretching 800 meters long and 220 meters wide, covered with lush natural vegetation dominated by large coconut trees. It has a large lagoon on one side and a direct access to the reef on the other side, which is ideal for both snorkeling and water sports. Unfortunately the island is suffering from erosion and the beach is disappearing. In some places, only a thin line of sand remains. Concrete blocks have been placed on the edge of the reef. The ruins of a mosque and some tombstones attest to the ancient occupation of this island by Maldivian fishermen.
