Mudhdhoo Island is located in the Baa Atoll. With its white sandy beaches it is surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. The reef, only a few meters from the beach, is a diver's paradise. Until 2012 this island was a virgin island and fishermen came to spend the night. It is now home to the Dusit Thani resort, which has decided to build (intensively) around the perimeter and leave its interior to the vegetation. If the island is very pretty, its beach is on the other hand only a thin net of sand. It is impossible to walk around it, especially because of a row of villas partially built on the water.
